Formerly a 15th Century Palace, the Grand Hotel Don Gregorio offers 5-star accommodation in the heart of Salamanca. It is centrally situated opposite Saint Stephen’s Convent and is just 5 minutes on foot from Plaza Mayor.

Medium-Budget Accommodation in Salamanca
The majority of accommodation in Salamanca costs somewhere between €50 and €100. There’s quite a variety of accommodation in this category, but I’ve filtered down some of my favourite options.
San Justo Plaza
Estimated at €45 | Booking.com
San Justo Plaza apartments offer stylish yet affordable accommodation just 200 metres from Plaza Mayor and 400 metres from the University of Salamanca. The apartments are all equipped with air conditioning, have free wi-fi, and have fully-equipped kitchens.
Salamanca Suite Studios
Estimated at €68 | Booking.com
Just minutes from the Plaza Major and a 20 minute walk from Salamanca train station, the Salamanca Suite Studios offer elegant studio accommodation in the heart of the city centre. Apartments are equipped with all of the essential amenities including wi-fi, underfloor heating and cooling, and kitchens.
Some of the studios have a balcony that overlooks Salamanca’s historic city centre, so be sure to look out for those.
TRYP Salamanca Montalvo Hotel
Estimated at €51 | Booking.com
The TRYP Salamanca Montalvo Hotel is situated just on the outskirts of Salamanca and you’ll either need to get a taxi into town or walk in. The walk is fine, although you do walk through an industrial estate which isn’t the most scenic, but some people may prefer to get a taxi.
What’s great about this hotel is the free secure underground parking. Salamanca is a popular overnight destination for those driving through Spain, and one of the main requirements is a safe place to park your car. This is especially true if you’re travelling with a lot of stuff, particularly on the backseat.
Although this is a fairly standard hotel overall, one nice touch is the communal noticeboard in the lobby where guests can share their favourite restaurants, bars, and things to do in Salamanca.
Budget-friendly Salamanca Accommodation
Salamanca has plenty of cheap accommodation, which is great news for those visiting the city on a budget. There are several hostels and hostals here and, although they charge low prices, that doesn’t mean the quality isn’t good. I’ve picked out a few favourites that are not only affordable, but nice places to stay as well.
